Psychotherapist

She/Her/Hers

Specialties:

Grief/Loss, Trauma, Anxiety, Life Transitions, and EMDR

As a therapist who specializes in helping adults navigate grief and childhood trauma, I bring deep empathy and a commitment to healing and growth, in collaboration with my clients. My practice is rooted in creating a safe and nurturing space where you can explore and process experiences, past and present. I recognize that healing from grief and trauma is not a straight or simple journey, and I acknowledge the courage it takes for my clients to confront what can be painful.

With compassion, insight, and an understanding of the complexities surrounding grief and trauma, I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to each individual's specific needs, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help guide, reframe, and offer feedback. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a tool for healing and recovery.

Feelings of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, sadness, and loneliness can be difficult to sit with and explore on your own. Oftentimes, you can feel stuck in your mind and too focused on the future. Together, we will identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may not be working for you. We will find strategies that will help lead to healthier and more productive ideas and responses, and bring attention to what can be controlled. I will help you to develop a healthy view of yourself, since I believe a healthy view of self can help cultivate change. I will encourage you to prioritize yourself and to view these actions as self-care rather than selfishness. I will challenge negative thought patterns with warmth and without judgment. You can confront the difficult emotions that may be impacting you to cultivate a greater understanding of yourself, identify your needs, and reach acceptance of your experiences.

What I ask of you is to be open-minded and willing to share your experiences and concerns with transparency, as well as be ready and motivated for change. I believe that everyone has the potential to find clarity and more peace in their lives, and building a strong foundation of rapport between therapist and client can help to promote growth within you. Where appropriate, I will be direct and provide you with perspective, as well as suggest tools and coping skills to apply in your daily life. With my clients who engage fully in the work, I have seen great improvements. They become calmer, express a more positive outlook, have improved insight, are more comfortable with themselves, and are better able to handle stress.

Therapy with me

I became a therapist because I’m passionate about helping others grow, reach their potential, and simply feel better about themselves and their lives. Therapy has been beneficial in my life when I needed more clarity, so I can personally see how therapy can be a positive support for others as well. I have over 8 years of experience working in counseling. I’ve worked in community mental health with clients with severe and persistent mental illness and more recently with individuals with a variety of life struggles, often affecting their mental health.

I look forward to connecting with and supporting you on your life path!

My Fees:

60-minute Intake Session: $170

50-minute Individual Sessions: $140

60-75 minute EMDR Sessions: $170

On a personal note…

Outside of work as a therapist, I enjoy walking, hiking, and playing fetch with my Australian Shepherd. My dog is much of my stress relief and calm! Spending time with my husband, family, and friends also fills my soul. As a Colorado Native, I enjoy the typical mountain adventures, including skiing, camping and paddle boarding in addition to playing tennis, traveling, cooking, and reading.
